Football Parallels Christian Faith

I always like to understand more about how the things I love find parallels in the gospel. I read an article on the Christianity Today website about legendary football coach and innovator, Amos Alonzo Stagg and how his faith influenced his view of the game. I have always thought that team sports are particularly beautiful because they show the harmony that is needed for success and that God shows us in relationship with the Trinity. Life is always more complete and beautiful when we have to depend upon one another. I guess that is why football is my favorite spectator sport: it really does require all eleven people to work together as a whole or nothing happens. Check out the article, it is pretty interesting.
